If you already hold a VR 194 or QCF 194Certificate awarded by any of the nationally recognised awarding bodies (SQA, City and Guilds, CITB etc) then you will NOT have to be re-assessed to be placed on the NAMM Register and receive a NAMM Registration Card.

If you have a full Stonemasonry Level 2 award or higher qualification then you must check that you have completed the unit VR 194/QCF194 if you have not completed this unit you WILL still have to be assessed and achieve this award or equivalent to allow you to be placed on the NAMM register and receive a NAMM registration card.

If you have a BRAMM (British Register of Accredited Memorial Masons) Fixer Licence, then provided this was obtained by having completed a VR194/QCF194 assessment you will NOT have to be re assessed to be placed on the NAMM Register and receive a NAMM Registration Card.

If your BRAMM Fixer Licence was NOT* obtained through the Vocational Qualification route and you do not possess the VR194/ QCF194 award then you can still be placed on the NAMM register. You WILL have to be assessed within eighteen months of your registration to upgrade your BFL and retain your NAMM Registration Card.

*(The BRAMM Fixer Licence test is not a nationally accredited or recognised test and therefore has not been subjected to the scrutiny or quality assurance required of a vocational qualification assessment. Nor has it been approved by National Occupational Standards. For this reason no National Awarding body can recognise the test even if it is carried out by A1 qualified assessors.)

NAMM can arrange for you to be assesed to have your BRAMM Fixer License transferrred to the NAMM Register at minimal cost to you or your business, please contact the NAMM registrar for further details.

If you are required to gain the NAMM accredited award or the QCF194 unit then you can apply to any test centre in the U.K, which proves the award, or contact the Registrar for further information.

If you already hold the award and it was gained through the Registrar your Registration Card can be issued automatically.  If it was gained elsewhere a copy of your award certificate shall be required to allow you to obtain a Registration Card.
